Fo Sho Recordz LLC was founded in February of 2002 by Barron Rivers. The company was established in Charlotte, North Carolina with the intension of being an outlet for kids that were presently residing in Residential Treatment Facilities (Group Homes). Barron graduated from South Carolina State University in 1995 where he earned a Marketing degree with a minor in Business Administration. He had been involved in several local hip hop groups from 1984 -1995 and had become unimpressed with the lack of attention given to southern artist. His goal was to learn the industry through hands on experience, as well as, obtaining the proper credentials to be respected in the industry. He realized that the key to getting the recognition and exposure that southern artist needed would have to come from those who were familiar with southern heritage and slang. He also knew that without learning the marketing and business aspects of the music industry that he would only be disappointing himself and those that he would eventually lead. . Fo Sho Recordz LLC now has offices in Charlotte, North Carolina and Charleston, South Carolina and has teamed with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, local schools, churches, and radio stations. to assist in rescuing our youths through music.
